Neath fullback Gareth King has been named Principality Premiership Player of the Month for January 2008. Triple title holders Neath shot back to the top of the table last month after wins over Glamorgan Wanderers and Maesteg plus a draw with Llanelli. Neath's Backs Coach, Gruff Rees, does not underestimate the influence of the Hereford-born 28-year-old in getting Neath back to the summit of the Principality Premiership.

Cardiff wing and fullback Leigh Halfpenny has been voted the overwhelming winner of the Principality Premiership Player of the Month for December. He helped take the capital side to third place in the table, playing in all three Principality Premiership wins against Maesteg, Bedwas and Pontypridd, and adding a total of forty points to the club tally. He has totalled 101 points and six tries in all games so far this season.

Glamorgan Wanderers prop Scott Andrews is the Principality Premiership player of the month for November. The 18-year-old tight-head has helped the Cardiff side reach fourth position in the Principality Premiership ahead of the Christmas period. He is currently in the Wales U20 training squad and is set to turn out for the Blues U20 against the Ospreys U20 in the final of the Welsh Rugby Union's U20 Reebok Regional Championship on December 27th 2007 at Ebbw Vale.

Llandovery lock Haydn Pugh has been named by a WRU elite performance panel as the October's Principality Premiership Player of the Month. The nineteen year old from Mold joined the Konica Minolta Cup Champions in the off-season from Llangennech and has played in all eight of the club's Premiership games to date. Pugh moved to Llanelli three years ago from his native North Wales to join the WRU Scarlets Academy system and study at nearby Coleg Sir Gar.

Neath flanker James Merriman has won the first Principality Premiership Player of the Month award for the 2007-2008 season. Merriman played in all four of Neath’s September victories – over Bridgend and Glamorgan Wanderers at the Gnoll and Llanelli and Maesteg on the road, adding a try against Maesteg. Merriman, who captained Wales U21 to a Grand Slam in 2005 and helped Wales Sevens reach the Cup semi-finals of the London and Edinburgh tournaments last season, joined the Welsh All Blacks from Gloucester Rugby during the off season.
